Aab-e-Hayat Novel by Umaira Ahmad is one the controversial novel in the Urdu Literature. Although it have controversy regarding the qadayniat and mirzayat, but still it is very popular among the readers and considered as the one of the most read novels in Urdu. The writer of the novel Umaira Ahmad is the famous female writer of the Pakistan. She has written many of the famous novels including the Aab-e-Hayat, Peer-e-Kamil, Amar Bail, and Man-o-Salwa.

 Aab-e-Hayat is another miracle from the pen of Umaira Ahmad and it is the sequel to the most read and popular novel by her "Peer-e-Kamil". The story takes a start from the exact plot, where it was left in Peer-e-Kamil Novel. Firstly, it was published as episodic novel in the famous monthly digest of Pakistan "Khawateen Digest". Later it was then released as the complete book in 2017 after its completion.

If you have read Peer-e-Kamil, you have got that the novel has two main characters that put the life in the whole story. One of the them was Salar Sikandar and the other one was Imama Hashim. The story begins when they accidently met each other. In following days, Imama comes to Islam, meanwhile Salar Sikandar rediscover the originallity of his own religion. They fell in love with each other and finally got married. 

The story of the novel Aab-e-Hayat begins right from there, where it was left in Peer-e-Kamil. They are now each others' life partner and come to the point, how they are going to lead their life. This whole part of the story is dedicated to the growth and nutriment of the children, family sacrifice, love, affection and heating arguments. 

The whole character Salar Ahmad has totally different by nature in this novel. Unlike the previous version of the novel, he has an aesthetic feelings about his life. Moreover, sometimes he found imama very aggressive and quietly tolerate her. 

Umaira Ahmad through her whole journey tried to put some attentions on social evils and social problems and try to provide the solution to eradicate them completely from the society. The same thing is carried by her in this novel. In this novel, she raised the voice against the evel of earning via interest or Sood in Urdu. It is not like that she totally fell in depth of some religion, but she conveyed the best message in a quite good manner. 

If you are the one, who is reluctant about to read and talk about the earning via interest and its related things, this amazing novel will change your way of thinking. 

Aab-e-Hayat by now is considered as the controversial sequel of the previous novel Peer-e-Kamil, as it is very difficult to meet the standard and quality of the Peer-e-Kamil. 

By all, i would like to say that this is a combination of the great story, great message, great concept and great writing skills. The novel not only sticks to this, but it teaches you that how to support your family and provide affection to your kids. If you are the one, who had previously read the Peer-e-Kamil, and curious about the story of the Imama Hashim and Salar Ahmad, you should read this novel.
